Day 1:Arrival and Transfer to Kampala.
Upon arrival at Entebbe airport our guide will meet you and brief you about the safari and later transfer you to the hotel of your choice in Kampala. Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast your guide will pick you and drive you to the northern eastern part of Uganda to Murchison Falls National Park; you will drive through the Luwero triangle which is greatly remembered for the war victims. We will have our first stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary a home to both the black and white rhinos rhino tracking is at usd40 per person per tracking. We will have lunch break at Masindi and later transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, visit the top of the falls where the water marvels at the Might Nile being forced into a seven meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades. While here one can appreciate the staggering power with which the Nile crashes through the narrow gap in the escarpment. Day 3: Game drive and Launch cruise
After a cup of coffee you will be driven to the northern part of the park to meet the early risen rushing out from their hideouts. Games expected to see include predators and nocturnal animals like the hartebeests, leopards, leopards, Hyenas, elephants, giraffes, Lions and many birds among others. After this wonderful activity Return back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch, then in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls to watch out for other species of animals like Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants and buffaloes can be seen along the shoreline and also many species of birds that live and feed on the lake like the king fisher, eagle and if lucky you can spot a rare shoebill. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you will embark on a transfer to Fort portal, the drive will take you about 7 hours to reach the town in the afternoon for lunch and then after lunch proceed to Kibale forest national park a home to over 13 species of primates coupled with chimpanzee the most common primate species at the park. Check into your booked accommodation for leisure and later dinner and an overnight at Kyaninga Lodge, primate lodge kibale, Ndali Lodge (luxury), kibale forest Camp, Ruwenzori view guest house (midrange), Chimpanzee Forest Guest House (budget)
Day 5:Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk at Bigodi swamp.
After an early morning breakfast assemble at Kanyankyu River Camp at 8:00am to go for chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzees are man’s closet relative of man sharing almost 98% of human genes. Tracking time is unpredictable, however it can go from 1- 6 hours as meeting them depends on where they last slept the previous day. Kibale National forest has the greatest number of primates in East Africa among which includes the grey cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkeys, Baboon, Black and White Colobus, L’hoest’s, Vervet and the Blue Monkey. Return to the Lodge for lunch and relax. After lunch embark on an afternoon nature walk to Bigodi swamp for an opportunity to view various species of bird more than 200 bird species reside here, watch also several primates species like red colobus monkey, baboon. Day 6: Visit the Crater Lakes and Nature Walks.
After breakfast, go for an exploration of beautiful crater lakes surrounded by the gentle hills. Take a hike at Lake Nkuruba and see different bird species. Take a nature walk through the villages and learn about the culture and customs of the Batoro tribe. Day 7: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park.
After breakfast you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National park a home for a wide biodiversity of wildlife. The drive will take you about 4 hours with a scenic drive up to the park and you will arrive in the afternoon for lunch, after you will embark on a two hours launch cruise on the Kazinga channel which connects lakes Edward and George, the launch cruise provide an opportunity to watch various species of wildlife that live and feed on the lake including large numbers of hippos, crocodiles while buffaloes and elephants can be spotted along the shoreline and many species of birds if lucky you can even spot the rare shoebill. Day 8: Game drive and afternoon launch cruise.
Before sunrise, you will go for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi area of the park. You will see a number of early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You are likely to find grazing hippos, elephants, lions, Uganda Kobs, buffalos, leopard, and giant forest hogs, among others. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch drive to Kazinga Channel banks for a launch cruise. Kazinga channel joins Lake Edward and Lake George. The water course is filled with schools of hippos, buffalos and elephants which can be seen at the banks. The banks also harbor a variety of bird species. Day 9Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla National Park
After breakfast you will embark on the transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the endangered mountain gorillas. However we shall first sight more species of games along the way in the ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth national park famous known for its tree climbing lions, enjoy watching them sited on fig trees or tree blanches. After lunch at the Ishasha River continue with a drive to Bwindi, a home to the few remaining mountain gorillas in the world. Bird life and primate life in Bwindi is quite superb, and there is an incredible variety of flora. Bwindi is the Bird watchers haven! It holds 348 species of birds and supports 24 of 26 Albertine Rift Endemics that occur in Uganda; Bwindi is an ecological island, surrounded by cultivation on the rich volcanic soils. Day10: Gorilla trekking
Up relatively early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for gorilla tracking, before 8:00 am report to the ranger station for registration and an informative talk by one of the rangers; the guides will then take you through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. (This trek can take from 3 to 9 hours depending on where these species spent the night before. So a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes). You will sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It’s amazing to think there are only about 880 of these beautiful creatures left. Day 11: Batwa Trail.
Bwindi impenetrable national park has a lot to more than gorillas. Batwa trail introduces you to one of the most unique culture worldwide. The Batwa pygmies are forest people displaced from the rainforest they shared with the mountain gorillas. Interact with Batwa people and get to learn more about their culture. Day 12:Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride
After Breakfast transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa. Expect to see a beautiful vegetation and farm hills. After Lunch, Enjoy your afternoon boat ride to explore the different islands on this lake as you watch the beautiful sunset and a variety of bird species. Day 13:Transfer to Kampala.
