Day 1, Travel to Volcanoes National Park
Our company tour guide with either pick you up from Kigali Airport upon your arrival or your Hotel in Kigali city and be transferred to Volcanoes National Park as you prepare for your next days Gorilla adventure with in the forest. The park is a home to more than 360 Mountain Gorillas which are some of the remaining ones in the whole world. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountains Gorilla View Lodge or Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge or Muhabura Hotel (FB)
Day 2, Mountain Gorilla Trek in PNV
Have an early breakfast and by 8:00am you assemble at the Park headquarters for a short briefing and Gorilla Group distribution. After this you will set out in the forest to search for these rare Mountain Gorillas. You will have with you your packed water since it the trekking can be rough. You are only allowed to stay with the Gorillas for one hour which will be enough for you to take Pictures, Video coverage and enjoy your selves. After the one hour, you will return back to your lodge for refreshments and Lunch. In the evening you can visit the twin Lakes or take a short self guided walk around Kinigi (Ruhengeri). Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Nest Lodge or Mountains Gorilla View Lodge or Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge or Kinigi Guest House (FB)
Day 3, Drive to Kigali and Transfer to Akagera National Park
After your breakfast, you will drive back to Kigali the country’s capital. Upon reaching Kigali, have lunch and later transfer east wards to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, take an afternoon game drive which will offer you views of wildlife animals like Masai Giraffes, Antelopes, African Elephants, Buffaloes, Zebra, and Leopards and so on. Dinner and Overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge. (FB)
Day 4, Game drive and boat ride on Lake Ihema
After breakfast, you will set out for the game drive and search for the early risers and also animals missed out in the previous game drive. Return back to the lodge for refreshments and early lunch and later carry out a canoe/boat ride on Lake Ihema to search for large numbers of Hippos, Nile crocodiles and a lot of bird species. Dinner and Overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge. (FB)
Day 5, Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali. Upon reaching the country’s capital, you will go for the short Kigali City tour and visit the Genocide memorial sites, Cultural sites, craft centers and shops and local markets. Dinner and overnight stay at Step Town Motel/Hotel Chezlando or be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home. (Depending on the time of Departure flight)
