Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Travel to Volcanoes national park
Either you will be picked up from Kigali Airport upon your arrival or from your Hotel in Kigali city and be transferred to Volcanoes National Park as you prepare for your next days Gorilla adventure with in the forest. The park is a home to more than 360 Mountain Gorillas which are some of the remaining ones in the whole world. Dinner and overnight stay Mountains Gorilla View Lodge (luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge, (Midrange) Muhabura hotel (budget)
Day 2, Mountain Gorilla Trek in PNV
Wake up early for breakfast at your hotel, you will prepare to set out for this great adventure of trekking the mountain gorillas in the park. By 8:00 am you should assemble at the park head offices for a briefing regarding these gorillas, prior to splitting into groups. If fortunate, you will surely soon find the mountain gorillas and while there you will be permitted to spend one hour in the presence of these very peaceful giants. At the finish of this trek, you will return to your lodge where you will unwind as you await dinner.
Day 3, Hike the Dian Fossey Grave Site / Golden Monkey Tracking
After breakfast at your Lodge, you will Visit the Dian Fossey Graveyard which is found at Karisoke Research Center. It’s from here that you will get to know more about this wonderful woman who died while saving the lives of these wonderful Mountain Gorillas with in the Virunga Forest. Alternatively visitors can opt to go for golden monkey tracking in the Volcanoes national park after an early briefing at the park station. Return for dinner and overnight
Day 4, Transfer to Kigali for city tour & Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali. Upon reaching the country’s capital, you will go for the short Kigali City tour and visit the Genocide memorial sites, Cultural sites, craft centers and shops and local markets. Dinner and overnight stay at Step Town Motel/Hotel Chezlando or be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home. (Depending on the time of Departure flight)
