Day 1: Pick up- Kigali city tour & transfer to Virunga Park
The driver guide from Go Rwanda Safaris will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel to take you up for this amazing 3 Days gorilla trek. The guide will first brief you about the itinerary, what to do, when and what to expect. You will have a brief tour in Kigali city to explore different attractions in the city Centre such as Kigali convention Centre, Kigali genocide memorial Centre, Kimiranko market, Inema Art gallery and the presidential palace among others. Enjoy the ambiance of this mal city and embrace its natural beauty which out stands other cities in the neighboring countries. After lunch in the city, drive towards the border crossing over to Virunga National Park. Overnight stay at your favorite Lodge
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & community tour
Early in the morning, enjoy breakfast at your lodge and transfer to the head quarters of Virunga National Park for registration and briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. You will be put in a group of eight and given a gorilla family to visit. At 8:00am, setoff into the jungle forest trekking to meet the gorillas. Hiking up and down hill is a strenuous adventure but all the fatigue disappears the moment you set eyes on the endangered gorillas. Trekking time is not specific but it can vary between 2-7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Trekking time can also depend on the hiking speed of the slowest person in your group since the range guides walk at the pace of the slowest person. On meeting the endangered primates, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their company to learn and enjoy their characters which are similar to those of people. Observe how adult females take care of the babies while silverback protects his family members just like human dads. Later on, you may visit local communities for a cultural performance.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
This is the last day of our 3 Days trip! Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive back to Kigali for your connecting flight
