Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe forest National park
On arrival, our company tour guide will welcome you and transfer you to Nyungwe forest National Park. Enjoy en route stopovers at Gikongoro for a visit to the Genocide Memorial of Murambi and in Butare for lunch. Proceed with the journey to Nyungwe National Park for dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Luxury)/ (Deluxe) Gisakura Guest House (Budget)
Day 2: Chimp trekking and Canopy walk
Begin your day with a cup of coffee at your hotel and transfer to the park headquarters for a chimp trekking adventure. The trek also rewards views of other primates within the forest. Return your accommodation for lunch which will be followed by a canopy walk that rewards scenic views of the different primates you might have missed in the morning and also a wide range of bird species. Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes national Park
Morning breakfast and set off for Volcanoes national park. It’s a scenic drive through a beautiful country side and magnificent views of the Virunga volcanoes. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla view lodge (Luxury)/ La Palme (Deluxe)/ Hotel Muhabura (Budget)
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Community walk
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters upon with your packed lunch to trek gorillas. This may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the forest. On return, go for a community walk to the Banyarwanda people that give an opportunity of exploring more of their unique culture. Day 5: Departure
Morning breakfast and then head to Kigali for a city tour and visit places like the cultural and traditional sites such as the handicraft markets, the local markets, the museum and the Genocide memorial grounds among others and later proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
