On 1st September Rwanda held the 13th Edition of the much anticipated Kwita Izina ceremony. For the past 12 years Rwanda has been organizing this ceremony that takes place annually. The Kwita Izina attracts thousands of people from different walks of life including head of state, conservationist, tourists who had come for gorilla safaris in PNV, Researchers, Students, wildlife Educationist and individual people both local and international.
The ceremony was graced by His Excellency president Elect Paul Kagame who made his key remarks on the importance of conserving wildlife for sustainable growth and development of Rwanda and the entire region. The ceremony takes place in Volcanoes National Park located in north western Rwanda
